And Apple will provide a free repair service to all users of the affected iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro phone models, for a period of up to three years from the date of purchase, after it was available for only two years, and it will also include larger numbers of users.

Apple said on its support page that it will provide a free service if your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not make sound from the receiver when making or receiving calls, and this service will not include iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Apple also confirmed that "if your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro suffers any damage that impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, this issue will need to be resolved prior to service, and in some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair."

And since the affected phones were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021, this means that the issue will be covered until at least October 2023. By sending it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider, at an official Apple Store, or by sending your phone directly to the same company.
